Blended learning is a provincially and nationally approved course that is recommended for people with busy schedules that have done first aid previously but no longer have a current certificate. Basic computer skills and Internet access are required to complete the course. You have the flexibility to complete the theory portion of the course with a self-paced online component (approximately 6-8 hours, doesn't have to be completed all at once). Then complete the skills practice in a one-day classroom component. Successful participants will receive the regular Red Cross Standard First Aid with level C CPR/AED certificate.
The online component MUST be completed prior to attending the classroom component and students will be required to print and present their certificate of online completion before proceeding with the classroom component. Online component must be completed no more than six weeks prior to the classroom date.
Course is non-refundable once student has received their course materials.
We recommend registration no less than two weeks prior to the classroom date to ensure you have time to complete the online portion.
After registering for the course, watch for an email from the Canadian Red Cross. This email will contain an invitation code and directions to log into the MyRedCross website - this is where your online course components are located.
