Which class is right for you?
Full course descriptions are under the various courses, but here is a quick overview:
Red Cross Standard First Aid with CPR/AED - broad, two-day course, most commonly required for workplaces and our most popular course. Includes CPR/AED level C or HCP.
Red Cross Emergency First Aid with CPR/AED - one-day course covering life-threatening emergencies such as heart attack, stroke, wounds, burns, choking, and more. Includes CPR/AED level A, C, or HCP.
Red Cross Emergency or Standard Childcare First Aid - one or two-day course, targeted to childcare workers. Includes CPR/AED level B (child and infant). Available on request, please contact for information.
CPR/AED Only courses - offered through the Red Cross or the Heart & Stroke Foundation
Red Cross CPR/AED level C - 1/2 day course includes CPR/AED and treatment of choking for adult, child, and infant.
Red Cross CPR/AED level HCP - includes additional content for healthcare providers: one and two-rescuer CPR/AED, treatment of choking, rescue breathing, and use of bag-valve-mask, all skills for adult, child, and infant.
Heart & Stroke BLS for Healthcare Providers (HCP) C - one and two-rescuer CPR/AED, treatment of choking, rescue breathing, and use of bag-valve-mask, all skills for adult, child, and infant. Typically required for employees of Alberta Health Services.
