Comprehensive course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR. Exceeds competitors’ standards by including injury prevention content, CPR and AED. Meets Alberta OHS requirements for workplace Standard First Aid courses.
Course Length
16 hours in class over 2 days OR 6-8 hours self-paced online learning plus 8 hours in class (if choosing online+in class format, the online component MUST be completed prior to attending class - no exceptions) - yes, the blended online format is accepted the same as two days in class!
New Remote First Aid option - 20 hour course with CSA and Alberta OHS equivalency to Standard First Aid. Minimum 50% outdoors.

Completion
100% attendance, skills demonstration, and 75% min. passing grade on written exam
Certification
3-year certification in Standard First Aid CPR AED level C
Recertification
Under Alberta OHS legislation, participants with a current standard first aid certificate from a recognized provider are eligible for a one-day recertification course BEFORE their expiry date. Once the certificate has expired, the class must be repeated.
