Adjustments due to covid-19:
We have reviewed the government requirements for out of school programs and day camps, which our kids programs fall under, and have determined we can meet and exceed the requirements to run the programs safely. We have put the following policies in place for reopening kids programs:
-Maximum group size of 6
-Students will be put in groups of 2-3 at the beginning of the day, and stay with those groups through the day to further minimize contact
-Instructors will ensure hand sanitizing and hand washing through the day
-Parents are required to check the child’s temperature before coming to class
-If a child begins showing any symptoms of illness through the day they must be picked up
-A contact number must be given in case the child needs to be picked up
-We ask only ONE person be designated to come inside for pick up and drop off
-Children displaying any symptoms of illness at all must not attend
-Many are dealing with seasonal allergies however it is difficult to tell the difference between allergies and illness; if your child is having allergy symptoms (runny nose, sniffling, sneezing, coughing) please reschedule to a later class
-Masks are encouraged but not required for most of the day; masks will be required for some first aid skill practice so any children attending at this time must be able and willing to wear a mask for a short period.
-Child should be mature enough to understand and follow directions from the instructors regarding distancing and safety
-We are waiting an additional two weeks after the reopening date of May 14 before holding our first class for staff to adjust the lesson plans to accommodate the above and to monitor any changes to the situation
